Graphic Designer
Building realism across timelines through photographic and graphic detail
The Project
Disclaimer centres on Catherine Ravenscroft, a respected documentary journalist whose carefully constructed public life begins to unravel when a novel exposes a past she believed buried.
I worked as a Graphic Designer on the series for over fourteen months, contributing to a wide range of graphics across multiple timelines, families and locations. The work prioritised photographic realism, narrative clarity and consistency, supporting a story where memory, perception and truth are central themes.

For the Ravenscrofts, the approach was more controlled and restrained. Working primarily with licensed stock imagery from Alamy and Getty, alongside approved photographs of Cate Blanchett, I created predominantly black-and-white images that felt curated and emotionally distant. These photographs, including images of Catherine with baby Nicholas, reflect the family’s more guarded, constructed public identity.
Photographic Storytelling
A significant part of my role involved creating and manipulating family photographs for both central families in the series.
For the Brigstocke family, whose story largely sits in the 1990s, I was able to draw on a small number of the actors’ real family photographs. These were composited together and treated with period-appropriate grain, colour grading and ageing to create believable domestic imagery of Nancy, Stephen and Jonathan.
